Women's Royal Naval Service, WRNS Silver Gilt & Enamel Sweetheart Brooch.

A fine quality 'W.R.N.S' wartime sweetheart brooch; small but well detailed example depicting 'Jenny Wren' on top of a fouled anchor with superimposed 'Naval Crown' inlaid with blue and white enamelling, the reverse impressed "Silver". Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, enamel perfect and retaining original gilt finish to give the appearance of gold.
