WW1 Gordon Highlanders 1918 Hallmarked Silver Scottish Regimental Sweetheart Brooch by Henry Tatton, Edinburgh.

A superb quality First World War period 'Gordon Highlanders silver sweetheart brooch' in the form of an officer's regimental cap badge, bearing the crest of the 'Marquis of Huntly,' a stag's head issuing from a Ducal Coronet within a heavy ivy wreath, with the motto 'Bydand' below, the reverse impressed with Edinburgh silver hallmarks for 1918 and with maker's details "H.T" (Henry Tatton, Rose Street, Edinburgh, Scotland). Very good condition, retaining original pin fittings.
