WW1 'Advance Australia' 9ct Hallmarked Gold Boomerang, Kangaroo and Emu Patriotic Anzac Sweetheart Brooch.

A rare Great War period superb quality 'Advance Australia patriotic brooch'; depicting a hollow gold boomerang, mounted to each end a Kangaroo and Emu, the centre bearing pearl set five pointed star resting on red cut stone gold heart, foliage and ribbon title scroll; the reverse impressed with "9ct" (9 carat gold), "Swan" symbol and "Regd." Very good condition, retaining original pin fittings with old brass replacement pin, no dents or distortions vulnerable to these type of hollow gold brooches, an excellent example.
