WW1 Canadian 222nd Infantry Battalion CEF, Silver & Enamel Canadian Expeditionary Force Sweetheart Brooch.

A scarce original First World War period 'Canadian Expeditionary Force 222nd Infantry Battalion maple leaf sweetheart brooch', the reverse impressed "Sterling Silver" and with maker's details "SSR". Very good condition, retaining original pin fittings, enamel perfect, an excellent example.
Height 33mm.

Canadian '222nd Infantry Battalion' was recruited in the Province of Manitoba in 1916. It was absorbed by the '19th Reserve Battalion' in 1917.
