A good quality original First World War period 'Royal Fusiliers silver and enamel sweetheart brooch' of impressive size and designed on the style of the cap badge, a flaming grenade with blue enamel Garter bearing the motto "Honi Soit Qui Mal Y Pense" (evil to him who evil thinks) with central device a silver rose inlaid with red enamel surmounted by a King's Crown, the reverse impressed "Sterling" and with maker's details "T.L.M" (Thomas Lynton Mott). Very good condition, retaining original pin fittings, enamel perfect.
