Army Service Corps mother of pearl sweetheart brooch

An unusual circa 1930's period scarce 'Army Service Corps hand-carved mother of pearl sweetheart brooch' of large measure, made in the Middle East using a cap badge as a guide, this example enhanced with blue inlay to the lettering and inscribed 'Bethlehem' to the reverse. Very good condition, complete with original pin fitting.
Height 43mm.

As a rule when found these handmade mother of pearl brooches are 'Royal Army Service Corps'.

Sold as a collectors item only, unsuitable for wear due to fragility of pin fitting which was originally only glued into place.
