A very scarce original First World War period 'Canadian Expeditionary Force 72nd Infantry Battalion Officer's collar badge come sweetheart brooch '; oxidised silver maple leaf design bearing a Stags' head "72" between the antlers with motto below "Cuidich 'n Righ" (Aid the King), the reverse impressed with only partial visible stamping "..erling" (top leaf left) and maker's details in relief "O.B.Allan". Very good condition, retaining original pin fittings.
