EIIR Royal Artillery 1965 Hallmarked Gold & Enamel RA Regimental Sweetheart Brooch by Garrard & Co, London.

A superb quality Elizabeth II period 'Royal Artillery gold and enamel sweetheart brooch', designed on the style of the cap badge, the artillery gun mounted with an applied wheel, surmounted by a Queen's Crowned scroll inlaid with blue enamel and bearing the motto "Ubique" (Everywhere) with further scroll below "Quo fas et gloria ducunt" (Wherever right and glory lead); the reverse impressed with Birmingham 9 carat gold hallmarks for 1965 and maker's details "G&Co Ld" in trefoil (Garrard & Co, London) the Crown Jewellers. Very good condition, retaining original pin fittings incorporating safety roller catch in good working order, enamel perfect, highly recommended.
