A scarce First World War period 'Army Veterinary Corps sweetheart brooch'; large gilded brass shield inlaid with white enamel, crowned laurel wreath with red 'AVC' monogram to the centre on blue ground. Very good condition, retaining original pin fittings, no stress lines or damage to the enamel, minor wear to gilt finish.
