A scarce First World War period Canadian Expeditionary Force '179th Overseas Battalion, Cameron Highlanders of Canada sweetheart brooch' gilt and enamel Crowned wreath half thistle half maple leaf with superimposed 'Cross of St. Andrew' bearing a lion and "179" with title circlet in red enamel and "Overseas" scroll below; the reverse without evidence of ever having had a pin fittings otherwise I would have classified this as very good condition, perfect enamel, gilt remains fresh. Price reflects.
