EIIR Royal Air Force Pilot's Wing, 1959 Hallmarked Gold & Enamel RAF Sweetheart Brooch by Deakin & Francis.

A superb quality classical style Elizabeth II period 'Royal Air Force sweetheart brooch', polished 'RAF' monogram, within a blue enamel laurel wreath, surmounted by a Queen's Crown inlaid with red and flanked by finely feathered wings; the reverse impressed with Birmingham 9 carat gold hallmarks for 1959, maker's details "D&F" (Deakin & Francis, Regent Place, Birmingham) and engraved initials "S W". Very good condition, retaining original pin fittings incorporating safety roller catch in good working order, enamel perfect.
