A magnificent scarce early Elizabeth II period 'Fleet Air Arm gold and enamel sweetheart brooch'; crowned green enamel laurel wreath, with applied fouled anchor to the centre, flanked by large finely feathered wings; the reverse impressed with Birmingham 9 carat hallmarks for 1962 and maker's details "J.W.B" (J W Benson Ltd). Excellent condition, retaining original pin fittings incorporating safety roller catch in good working order and complete with retailers "Gieves Old Bond Street, London W1" presentation case in good clean condition.
