A superb quality early Elizabeth II period 'Royal Engineers gold and enamel brooch' in the form of a grenade resting on a "Ubique" scroll, inlaid with vivid blue enamel; the reverse impressed with Birmingham 9ct gold hallmarks for 1956 and maker's details "G & Co Ld" (Garrard & Co, London) the Crown Jewellers. Very good condition, retaining original pin fittings incorporating safety roller catch in good working order, enamel perfect.

An excellent example complete with its original velvet lined leather presentation case with details to the lid "By appointment to H.M The Queen" "Goldsmiths & Crown Jewellers Garrard & Co Ltd 112, Regent Street. W1".
