WW1 Highland Light Infantry Gilt & Enamel Scottish Regimental Sweetheart Brooch.

A good original First World War period 'Highland Light Infantry sweetheart brooch' in the form of a miniature representation of the regiments cap badge being a 'Thistle Star' bearing Crown, coiled bugle with central "HLI" cypher and "Assaye" scroll with elephant below. Very good condition, retaining original pin fittings, enamel perfect, gilt remains bright.
