A scarce original First World War period Canadian Expeditionary Force '160th Infantry Battalion CEF sweetheart brooch'; Crowned circlet titled "Bruce" bearing a thistle to the center all within a maple leaf wreath bearing scrolls "Overseas" "160" "Battalion" "Canada" and motto "Amo Patria". the reverse impressed "Sterling Silver" and maker's details "J.W.T" (J W Tiptaft & Son Ltd). Very good condition, retaining original pin fittings, enamel perfect, an excellent example.
