WW1 Gordon Highlanders Silver Scottish Regimental Sweetheart Brooch by A&J.Smith Aberdeen.

A fine quality circa Great War period unmarked silver 'Gordon Highlanders sweetheart brooch' in the form of a miniature representation of a officer's regimental cap badge, bearing the crest of the 'Marquis of Huntly,' a stag's head issuing from a Ducal Coronet within an ivy wreath, motto 'Bydand' below, the reverse impressed with maker's details "A & J.Smith, Aberdeen". Very good condition, retaining original pin fittings.
