Boer War Royal Fusiliers 1899 Hallmarked Hollow Silver Antique Regimental Sweetheart Brooch in Presentation Case.

A very scarce Boer War period fine quality 'Royal Fusiliers sweetheart brooch', large hollow silver filigree example made in two parts, the centre depicting the Garter with motto "Honi Soit Qui Mal Y Pense" (evil to him who evil thinks) with central rose device surmounted by a Queen Victoria Crown; the reverse impressed with Birmingham silver hallmarks for 1899 and maker's details "F.N" (F. Narborough Birmingham). Excellent condition, complete with original pin fittings, complete with all bauble decoration and contained in original velvet lined fitted presentation case.
