EIIR Royal Engineers 1956 Hallmarked Gold & Enamel 'RE' Monogram Sweetheart Brooch in Presentation Case by Garrard.
A superb quality early 1950's Elizabeth II period 'Royal Engineers gold and enamel brooch' in the form of a "Ubique" Crowned 'RE' monogram resting on a "Quo Fas Et Gloria Ducunt" motto scroll inlaid with vivid blue enamelling and mounted on a slender bar; the reverse impressed with Birmingham 9ct gold hallmarks for 1956 and maker's details "G & Co Ld" (Garrard & Co, London). Excellent condition, complete with original pin fittings incorporating safety roller catch in good working order, enamel perfect. Complete with its original velvet lined leather presentation case in clean condition with details to the lid "By appointment to H.M The Queen" "Goldsmiths & Crown Jewellers Garrard & Co Ltd 112, Regent Street. W.1".
