1st South Lancashire Regiment 1894 hallmarked silver sweetheart brooch
A fine quality scarce original Antique Victorian 'The Prince of Wales's Volunteers sweetheart brooch'; 'Sphinx' on Egypt tablet within laurel sprays mounted by 'Prince of Wales's Plumes' all resting on title scroll "1st South Lancashire Regiment" and set in ornate hollow silver surround; the reverse impressed with Birmingham silver hallmarks for 1894 and maker's details "F.N" (Frederick Narborough). Very good condition, retaining original pin fitting, old brass replacement hook, complete with all baubles, no dent or distortions.
