Canadian CEF 69th Infantry Battalion sweetheart brooch

A scarce First World War period Canadian Expeditionary Force '69th Infantry Battalion CEF sweetheart brooch' gilt maple leaf with Crowned enamel crest and scroll "Je Me Souviens" with further enamelled scrolls "Service 69 Outre Mer" "Canada". Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel, gilt remains bright, an excellent example.
