A scarce fine quality First World War period Canadian Expeditionary Force 'CEF 225th Infantry Battalion gold sweetheart brooch'; maple leaf pattern bearing embossed 'stags head' within 'Kootenay Battalion Canada' scrolls, the reverse impressed '10K' and with Canadian maker's details 'Birks'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings with safety catch device.
