Royal Naval Reserve RNR gold brooch and case

A scarce original Great War period fine quality 'Royal Naval Reserve gold and enamel brooch' on the style of the officer's cap badge; Crowned 'R.N.R' fouled anchor within laurel sprays mounted on a slender bar, the reverse impressed '15ct' (15 carat gold). Excellent condition, complete with original pin fittings, enamel perfect and contained in it original velvet lined leather fitted case inscribed to the lid 'Watch Makers to the Admiralty' 'James Weir Goldsmith & Jeweller.'.
