Royal Navy HMS Teazer 1917 silver anchor sweetheart brooch
A scarce original Great War period 'H.M.S.Teazer sweetheart brooch', in the form of a hollow silver anchor with blue enamel title scroll; the reverse impressed with Birrningham silver hallmarks for 1917 and maker's details 'W.C&S'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, enamel intact, no dents or distortions, an excellent example.

Royay Navy ship HMS Teaser was a R-class destroyer, built in the First World War by Thornycroft and launched in 1917. On trial she proved to be one of the fastest ships afloat. She joined the Harwich Force and served as part of the Tenth Destroyer Flotilla during the war. She was sold for scrapping in 1931.
