Royal Corps of Signals 1927 silver regimental spoon rifle shank

A scarce 'Royal Corps of Signals silver prize spoon', the finial depicting 'Mercury' the winged messenger of the Gods, referred to by the Corps as 'Jimmy' surmounted by a King's Crown and supported by a rifle shank; the obverse impressed with Birmingham silver hallmarks for 1927, maker's details 'M&B' (Marples & Beasley Birmingham) the reverse with retailer 'R.Bond & Co. Darlington'. Very good condition.
