HMS Vernon Torpedo Branch 1915 silver sweetheart brooch

A rare original First World War period 'HMS Vernon silver sweetheart brooch' depicting naval crown crossed torpedoes resting on a 'Vernon Semper Viret' motto scroll, superimposed over a mine; the reverse impressed with London silver hallmarks for 1915 and maker's details 'C.Bros' (Corke Brothers & Co ). Good condition, complete with original pin fittings, slight flaw cracks.
