Royal Air Force pilot's wing gold and enamel RAF sweetheart brooch

A classical style original circa 1940's impressive 'Royal Air Force sweetheart brooch', polished 'RAF' monogram mounted on a green enamel laurel wreath, surmounted by a King's Crown in red, flanked by finely feathered wings, the reverse impressed '9ct' (9 carat gold). Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings incorporating safety catch in good working order, enamel perfect (light reflection only on crown).
