A scarce original wartime period fine quality classical style 'Royal Air Force sweetheart brooch', gold plated example, the central polished 'RAF' crest mounted by a King's Crown and flanked by perfectly formed feathered wings; the reverse impressed with unusual maker's details 'LW&G' (Lawson Ward & Gammage Ltd London). Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings.
