Royal Air Force pilot's wing 1979 gold RAF sweetheart brooch by Garrard London

A beautiful scarce Elizabeth II period superb quality 'Royal Air Force sweetheart brooch', polished 'RAF' monogram within green enamel laurel wreath, surmounted by a Queen's Crown enhanced with red, flanked by small neat finely feathered wings, the reverse impressed with Birmingham 9 carat gold hallmarks for 1979 and maker's details 'G & Co Ld' (Garrard & Co London the Crown Jewellers). Very good mint condition, complete with original pin fittings with safety roller catch in perfect working order, enamel intact.
