WW2 Royal Air Force pilot's wing gilt and enamel RAF sweetheart brooch

A scarce original wartime period 'Royal Air Force gilt and enamel sweetheart brooch' large gilded brass example with highly defined rounded wings, the central 'RAF' embossed crest inlaid with blue enamel, surmounted by a red King George VI Crown. Very good condition,complete with original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel, gilt finish remains bright.
