WW2 Royal Air Force pilots wing gilt and enamel RAF sweetheart brooch

A scarce original wartime period fine quality 'Royal Air Force silver and enamel sweetheart brooch'; Crowned laurel wreath inlaid with green enamel, embossed blue 'RAF' crest to the centre, flanked by finely feathered wings. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings and safety chain, enamel perfect, gilt remains bright.
