Royal Air Force pilot's wing gilt and enamel RAF sweetheart brooch

A scarce wartime period 'Royal Air Force gilt and enamel sweetheart brooch'; George VI red enamel crowned 'RAF' crest inlaid with blue enamel within laurel wreath, flanked by large highly defined feathered wings. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no defects to the enamel, gilt finish remains bright.
