EIIR Royal Air Force 1984 gold RAF wing sweetheart brooch

A stunning scarce early Elizabeth II period 'Royal Air Force sweetheart brooch', 'RAF' monogram inlaid with fine quality rich blue enamelling, within a laurel wreath surmounted by a red enamel Queen's Crown and flanked by large highly decorated feathered wings; the reverse impressed with Birmingham 9 carat gold hallmarks for 1984 and maker's details 'J.W.B' (J W Benson Ltd). Excellent condition, complete with original pin fittings with safety roller catch in good working order, no defects to the enamel.
