Royal Air Force pilot wing gold RAF sweetheart brooch

A scarce original Second World War period jewellers made fine quality 'Royal Air Force sweetheart pin badge', polished 'RAF' monogram mounted on a green enamel laurel wreath, surmounted by a King's Crown inhanced with red enamel and flanked by finely feathered wings, the reverse impressed '9 carat'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings incorporating safety roller catch, no damage to the enamel, contained in a much older period associated red velvet lined fitted leather case, this in good clean condition.
