Royal Navy & Merchant Navy 1950 Gold Nautical Crown Brooch by James William Benson

A superb quality King George VI period 'Royal Navy and Merchant Navy nautical crown brooch', the reverse bearing Birmingham 9 carat gold hallmarks for 1950 and maker's details 'J.W.B' (James William Benson). Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings with safety roller catch in perfect working order, housed in a velvet lined case the inside lid inscribed 'Gieves Ltd 27, Old Bond Street, W.1.' this with service wear and staining to the outside.
