A fine quality splendid looking rare Queen Elizabeth II early period 'The Life Guards regimental brooch'; rhodium plated example, bearing reversed and interlaced 'LG cypher' ornamented with imitation diamonds, 'The Royal Crest' enhanced with red enamel with blue enamel to the title scroll, the reverse impressed 'SILVER'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings with safety roller catch in good working order, no damage to the enamel and complete with all stones, housed in its original velvet lined leather case, this inscribed to the inside lid 'By Appointment To her Majesty The Queen, Silversmiths & Jewellers, Carrington & Co Ltd. 170 Regent Street'.
