Royal Air Force Pilot Wing 1966 Hm Gold & Enamel RAF Sweetheart Brooch

A scarce original Elizabeth II period 'Royal Air Force sweetheart brooch', polished 'RAF' monogram within a laurel wreath inlaid with green enamel, surmounted by a Queen's Crown in red, flanked by finely feathered wings, the reverse impressed with Birmingham 9 carat gold hallmarks for 1966 and maker's details 'J.W.B'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings incorporating safety roller catch in good working order, enamel perfect.
