Gordon Highlanders, Scottish Regimental Silver Brooch by A & J Smith Aberdeen

A scarce original circa First World War period superb quality 'Gordon Highlanders large size unmarked silver sweetheart brooch' in the style of an officer's regimental cap badge, bearing the crest of the 'Marquis of Huntly' a stag's head issuing from a Ducal Coronet with motto 'Bydand'; the reverse impressed with maker's details 'A & J Smith Aberdeen' (Alexander and John Smith, 23-25, St. Nicholas Street, and, 191, Union Street Aberdeen). Very good condition, complete with original substantial pin fittings.
