WW1 Royal Flying Corps Royal Artillery Enamel Locket
A rare original First World War period 'Royal Flying Corps unmarked gold colour mothers locket'; an impressive sized opening case bearing an 'RFC' enamel cap badge style device to one side and a Royal Artillery enamel badge to the other, the artillery gun surmounted by a Crowned scroll inlaid with blue enamel and bearing the motto 'Ubique' (Everywhere) with scroll below 'Quo fas et gloria ducunt' (Wherever right and glory lead). This bears no official gold markings but there are signs on the rim of having been tested previously in life. Good condition, complete with ring suspension, enamel intact, good working hinge, secure closure, minor dents to RFC side, no photographs. Height with ring approx 36mm.
