A fine quality EIIR period 'Royal Navy and Merchant Services nautical crown brooch'; suberbly enamelled brown and white sails set with nine small pearls below and mounted on a slender bar, the reverse bearing Birmingham '9ct' (9 carat gold) hallmarks for the year 1953. Excellent condition, complete with original pin fittings incorporating safety roller catch, enamel perfect. Size approx 52 x 11mm.
