Lincolnshire Regiment Silver & Enamel Sweetheart Brooch by Charles Usher
A scarce First World War period fine quality 'Lincolnshire Regiment sweetheart brooch'; a discreet well defined silver Sphinx on tablet 'Egypt' with ribbon title scroll below inlaid with blue enamel, the reverse impressed 'STERLING' and with maker's detail 'C.U' (Charles Usher, Birmingham). Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, enamel perfect .
Height approx 19mm.
In 1946 the Regiment was granted the Royal title for past services and became known as the 'Royal Lincolnshire Regiment'.
