WW2 Royal Air Force RAF Per Ardva Ad Astra Silver Guilloché Enamel Brooch

A scarce original Second World War period fine quality in the manner of James Fenton but unmarked 'Royal Air Force pin badge'; King George VI crowned dark blue enamel circlet bearing the RAF motto 'Per Ardua ad Astra' (Through Adversity to the Stars) with an embossed eagle spread across the centre on turquoise translucent ground, the reverse impressed 'SILVER'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, minor nick to the enamal around 'Per' hardly
noticeable.
