WW1 East Lancashire Regiment silver & enamel regimental sweetheart brooch

A scarce original First World War period 'East Lancashire Regiment silver and enamel sweetheart pin brooch' designed in the style of the cap badge' sphinx on Egypt tablet, red rose of Lancaster below, within a crowned laurel sprays and blue enamel title scroll; the reverse impressed 'STERLING' and with maker's details 'C.U' (Charles Usher, Birmingham). Good condition, complete with original pin fittings, minor defect to enamel scroll left, no affecting its appearance.
Height approx 33mm.
