Royal Navy HMS Medea Hallmarked 1915 Silver Anchor Brooch

A rare original First World War short lived period 'H.M.S. Medea pin badge', in the form of a hollow silver anchor with blue enamel title scroll; the reverse impressed with Birrningham silver hallmarks for 1915. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no stress marks or damage to the enamel, an excellent example.
Length approx 37mm.
HMS Medea was a Medea-class destroyer, she was launched in 1915 and sold for breaking up in 1921.
