WW1 Royal Navy HMS Duke of Albany white faced enamel sweetheart brooch


This is a rare gilt and enamel brooch for the ill fated Royal Navy Auxiliaries Armed Boarding Steamer which was torpedoed on the 25th August 1916 and sunk in the Pentland Skerries.The brooch remains in good condition, no damage to the enamel a few manufacturing firing faults, but the hook and pin shank are both replacements.

A good circa 1960's H.M.S. Grafton pewter plated sweetheart brooch, set with marcasite stones, the ship's crest in blue and green enamelling. Very good condition, original pin fittings incorporating safety roller catch, no damage to the enamel and complete with all stones.
