This is a rare gilt and enamel brooch for the ill fated Royal Navy Auxiliaries Armed Boarding Steamer which was torpedoed on the 25th August 1916 and sunk in the Pentland Skerries.The brooch remains in good condition, no damage to the enamel a few manufacturing firing faults, but the hook and pin shank are both replacements.
