WW1 Black Watch (Royal Highlanders), Scottish Sporran Style Sweetheart Brooch.

A scarce First World War period 'Black Watch sweetheart brooch', in the form of a five tassled white silk hair sporran, the silver plated metal cantle bearing title scroll inlaid with blue enamel. Very good condition, retaining original pin fittings.
Height approx 102mm.

These style of brooches were popular in the First World War and were worn in the collar of a high necked blouse.
