'Bear The Flag Aloft' England Scotland & Ireland 1914 patriotic silver brooch

A rare Great War period fine quality 'Patriotic Flag brooch' displaying the Union Flag, Saint George's Cross, St Andrew's Cross and Saint Patrick's Cross enamelled flags around a Crowned blue circlet with legend "Bear The Flag Aloft" the central cross bearing the Latin mottos "REX" "PAX" "LEX" and "LUX" "KING" "PEACE" "LAW" and "LIGHT". The reverse impressed with Birmingham silver hallmarks for 1914 and maker's details "J.F" (James Fenton & Co, Birmingham) "T.K & Co" and "Registration Applied For". Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, enamel intact with some very minor surface scratches.
